 PS3 Qore Sony apparently is launching a brand new service to the world called Qore. You figure out how to pronounce that! This service has many similarities to Xbox Live but it sounds like a pretty good idea to me when I first heard it. Qore is a service which has to be paid for and is a subscription based, In my opinion its like an interactive downloadable PS3 magazine/show. |

I just received this information from Mickey of Google Earth Hacks. They have developed a new MMORPG utilizing the free program "Google Earth". 
"We're thrilled to announce the public beta test of our new Google Earth based MMORPG, "GEMMO". Take the role of a Warrior, Elf or Mage, and travel the globe fighting various monsters.
You can accrue gold and experience points as you win each battle, helping you raise your character to higher and higher levels. You'll find hidden shops in various parts of the earth, where you can buy increasingly powerful weapons and/or magic spells.
There are current 19 cities that can be defeated, but more are on the way. Beating the boss in a city will earn you a crystal. The player with the most crystals will find themself atop our forthcoming leaderboard.
The beauty of this game is that it works 100% in Google Earth -- no software to download and no calls to web browsers.
A quick list of features:
- Play as a warrior, elf, or mage
- 100% in-Earth game.
- 19 cities to conquer
- Over 11,000 NPCs to fight to build up your levels.
- Team up with other players to fight harder enemies (except bosses).
